Last year I attended my first ever burlesque show at the Agora Theater. The Suicide Girls Blackheart Burlesque was on tour in Cleveland. I have always wanted to see a live burlesque show, and I wanted to even more after seeing the movie Burlesque in 2010 starring Cher and Christina Aguilera. What attracted me this particular act is its unique choreographed numbers that incorporate pop-culture references into their choreographed sexy dance routines. Fan favorites have included costumes from Star Wars, Rick and Morty, Deadpool, and more.
The SuicideGirls did not disappoint it was a terrific show; the performers engaged the audience with original dances. Three of my favorite numbers from that night are Thriller, Stranger Things and Mortal Kombat.
